The only consolidated city-county in California, it encompasses a land area of about 46.9 square miles on the northern end of the San Francisco Peninsula, giving it a density of about 17,179 people per square mile (6,632 people per km).

About LAS Principal Jerry D. Binkley

Jerry D. Binkley has extensive real estate experience, having served as a director of multifamily portfolios and as a principal for both institutional and private companies. He has been involved in more than $3 billion dollars in multifamily acquisitions, renovation and management of multifamily properties located throughout the US and Canada.

Former roles include: Multifamily Development Partner for Lincoln Property Company in Northern California. Prior to that, he spent 13 years as Director of Multifamily Properties for a former bank located in Dallas (GE Capital) as well as CEO of GE Capital Investment Advisors, a pension fund advisor, located in San Francisco.

In August 2003, Jerry was recruited, and became the president of a private real estate operating company that developed a market niche in renovating multi-family properties in California. During his three year tenure, he led the company in acquiring approximately $300 million of multifamily properties, comprised of more than 2,200 units within 30 properties. His responsibilities included oversight of an 85 person integrated management company for a 40+ property portfolio and the renovation of all of the aforementioned acquisitions.

His functions included all acquisition, operational and management of the portfolio; as well as arranging all financing requirements. Additionally, he was involved in raising over $55 million of investment capital from Institutional and Private Capital partners.

Jerry founded Calera Investment Group, LLC in 2007. Between 2007 and 2009, he acquired $60 million of properties located in California. He was responsible for procuring Calera’s operational and co-investment partner and in excess of $20 million of investment capital from an institutional partner. Jerry sold his interest in December 2009 and formed Turtle Creek Real Estate Services, Inc. (“TCRE”) in January 2010. TCRE has primarily provided consulting services to bank holding companies pursuing bank and loan portfolio acquisitions, and multifamily acquisitions focused on properties providing a value-add component through renovation.

Jerry holds BBA from Baylor University, majoring in real estate and insurance, and maintains a California broker license.

About LAS Principal Marc Kahn

Marc Kahn has more than 40 years of practice in all aspects of the real estate business, including acquisitions, dispositions, mortgage finance, development, management, and brokerage.

Prior to his association with LANDCO Advisory Services, Marc was employed by the Manhattan Mortgage Company and Skyscraper Mortgage Consultants. During this time, he also taught a seminar entitled “The Elements of Mortgage Finance” to real estate brokers in New York.

Marc is an attorney licensed to practice in New York. As such, during his career, he has engaged in all aspects of real estate conveyancing, finance, and litigation.

Marc holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University, where he majored in history and minored in English, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Boston University.
