US 10-Year Treasury Rates Increased 15bp for the Week Ending 4/13/23

For the past two weeks, 10-year Treasury rates have been down by 10bp but increased by 15bp in the past week. Market swings have been less pronounced, trending downward due to recession concerns.

The red line represents the most current rates, while the green line represents rates from one week ago. The entire yield curve increased by 15bp; however, the one-month rate decreased by 49bp, of which 25bp occurred before the March CPI announcement and 24 occurred the following day. This is a very large amount that I have not seen before. The yield curve inversion continues.
