US 10 Year Treasury Increased 20bp for the Single Week Ending 9/21/23

For the past two weeks, 10-Year Treasury rates have increased by 22bp. In the past week alone, they were up by 20bp. During the Fed meeting on 9.20.23, there was no rate change, and discussions focused on the reaction to potential future Fed rate increases.

The red line represents the most current rates, while the green line represents rates from one week ago.

There was very little change in rates over the past week until Friday when there was a sudden spike of 14bp. This spike made the inverted yield curve less steep, while one-month rates remained unchanged.
